Get Treated was recently featured on Skift.com’s list of “5 New Travel Startups Making Medical Tourism More Accessible”, Skift “…is the largest industry intelligence and marketing platform in travel, providing news, information, data and services to all sectors of the world’s largest industry.” I want to take a minute and reflect on their article as it is not only an important achievement for Get Treated but it shows a new and promising future for the medical tourism and travel industry.
The companies and platforms that were featured alongside Get Treated are all relative newcomers to the industry, and because of that they are revitalizing and re-thinking the way that medical tourism can be made appealing to new or old customers. It is vital to add a new level of transparency and convenience to medical tourism because it is what customers are looking for. Each company goes about doing this in new and innovative ways, from doctor consultations to mapping out available accommodations in the area. It is important to keep up with the demands of the consumer and medical travel needs to become more dynamic and in tune with the customers needs. These companies are making sure that a potential customer has various options when considering medical travel. By giving people options and making the process more accessible, the idea of medical travel becomes much more of a reality for millions of people.
Although it may seem counter-intuitive to support our own competitors it actually makes quite a lot of sense. With an emerging market such as medical tourism it is important to uphold a certain level of service and standards because as the old saying goes, “…a few bad apples can ruin the bunch”. That is why it is essential to support the positive growth of the industry and we are happy to see newcomers to the market that want to achieve one common goal, and that is to make medical travel accessible to customers across the world.
I would also like to mention that we are now a featured partner of mtv.am, a prominent online TV channel for millions of diaspora Armenians and Russians. Our new Get Treated promotional animation will be airing during the commercial breaks so check it out!Back to blog
